- Saw Murphy's Law in Katwijk, Holland last friday. Opening up
- for them was a band called TTC from Berlin. They played
- "groovecore" as they themselves called it. I didn't think
- they were appropriate as a supp. act. for ML - they would be
- more suitable for some open-air-festival.
-
- I was surprised to see such a small number of people turning
- up - I think me & the guys were the only ones who were from out
- of town. But all this didn't bother ML at all: they played a
- 80 min + 10 min gig ("That's 40 min longer than Sick of it All",
- as Jimmy Gestapo put it - and he was right) and I must say that
- Jimmy must be one of the most relaxed singers I've ever seen:
- smoking a fag on stage, sliding up & down the stage in the
- inevitable beer-pool - not the kind of singer who's constantly
- begging for the audience to move up front or start moshing/pogo-ing
- or whatever. Like Jimmy said: "We're not playing for you guys - we're
- playing 'cause we haven't got anything better to do". That seemed
- to be the only appropriate attitude for that night.
