- Russia *was* founded upon a belief in God, and on a precursory idea of
- the divine right of kings, in fact. The USSR, however, was explicitly
- founded as an atheistic country. Try reading a little Lenin sometime.

- from secular (i.e. non-religiously based) logic. What does utilitarian
- ethics have to do with it, other than that utilitarian ethics is one of
- many subsets of a secularly-based logical system.?
