- What he is talking about here is the weird proposition that gays asking
- for laws to protect them from the special persecution society bothers
- them with is somehow asking to get special privaledges that "normal"
- citizens don't get. Implying wrongly and foolishly that Gays are asking
- to become "privaledged characters" in America.
- They are not asking for special privaldges of course. Just not to be
- persecuted for being gay. This is about as foolish an arguement about
- gays as Phyllis Shlaffly's contention that the ERA would mandate unisex
- toilets throughout America. It would be laughable and risible if so many
- idiots did not really believe such stupid "arguements".
