- Also -- patriotism is quite thoroughly a lifestyle choice (as is loyalty to
- "the home team" (BLEAHH)), and these are rather strongly marketted to
- school children... My 5-yr-old came home from kindergarten singing
- "We love the flag, the red, white, and blue". They have the little kids
- pledging allegience to the flag, and the kids can't even tell you what
- "pledge" or "allegience" mean.
