- I say yes....I say you have no right to force your set of values on anyone.
-
- And, don't go labeling things as traditional values, because there
- is no such thing. A hundred years ago loving parents had their children
- working in the sweat shops, mines, and farms.....People didn't have enough
- time to have a traditional family since many people in a family worked
- 14-18 hours a day, no days off......When You and others say traditional
- values you are bacally talking about a fictitious myth you have bought
- into. The vast majority of people wed out economic gain.......

-
- This is occuring only because parents aren't being parents. Parents
- in this country are not living up to this myth called a family....I see
- lots and lots of love missing in families. The schools tried to fix
- what parents were neglecting. If you talk to most....the vast majority
- of teachers in the public system you will see that they don't want
- to teach about diversity, about protecting oneself from a rapist, about
- sex....nor do they want to have to look at their students and turn in
- a report to the principle if little Julie Phillips keeps coming to
- class with bruses on her body......Most teachers want to teach, BUT BECAUSE
- PARENTS IN VAST NUMBERS ARE AVOIDING RAISING THEIR OWN CHILDREN, society
- once again has to take up the slack!

-
- I look at a person who commits suicide and try to understand the
- amount of pain he or she must have been going through. Wondering why
- this persons family couldn't see this pain. Why parents weren't close
- enough to their own child to see the hurt in his or her eyes.
