- The effect is to put down the victor, and to elevate the loser. If a culture
- has dominated, it must be evil. If a culture has been subdued, it was ipso
- facto superior. The dominator should feel shame and guilt, the subdued has
- automatic moral superiority. Note that this is an offshoot of the fair idea of
- giving the persecuted an equal chance, but carried to an extreme extreme.
