- Well, that's hard to say. It's my opinion that Rush doesn't think of
- himself as arrogant. I really believe that most of the blatantly arrogant
- things he says are an act ("the best talk show host in the universe", etc);
- I suppose he's trying to lampoon what he sees as the "real" arrogance of
- liberals (that arrogance being that, not unlike Rush, liberals believe their
- way of living is best). Unfortunately the belief that one's own way of
- living is the best is almost inherent to any human belief system. Human
- nature just seems to cause everyone to assume that their own system is
- best, since we all look at the options and choose what we think is best.
- An adversary is almost never a villian (or arrogant) in his own eyes. If
- that's what constitutes arrogance then I don't believe that it should be
- considered as a typical trait of either liberals or conservatives but
- rather is a trait of all humans at all times and in all places.
