- I truly can't answer whether or not these people are sincere or if the
- will "re-convert" at some point. What I see emerging these days is
- a sort of gay dogma to the effect that anybody who changes their
- sexual orientation, specifically from homo to hetero, is somehow
- deluded or has been coerced into doing so by religious beliefs or
- fear of persecution. I see little scientific evidence backing up these
- assertions and a lot of hidden (and not-so-hidden) political motivation.
- To me it seems pointless to question why it happens or whether it is
- genuine. People who are unhappy in their choices will usually alter
- them again in time. If someone is using this as a club to beat the
- gay community with then it's reprehensible but as i've pointed out
- in many different posts my reason in broaching the subject is that
- I feel it to be an uneccessary and unprovable argument. Gay rights
- won't stand or fall on this issue.

- Please don't read any hidden agenda into my choices. They were just the
- first two contemporary examples which popped into my head which demonstrated
- the required polarity.
