- -> While I think just about everything U2 has done is excellent, IMHO,
- -> nothing can compare with the "early" U2, through about Unforgettable
- -> Fire. Their music today is still very good, but does not have the
- -> fire, the drive of their earlier music...songs like "Sunday Bloody
- -> Sunday," "I Will Follow" and "Pride" have not been matched by Bono &
- -> company, and probaly won't be.
- ->
- -> I don't think U2 should go back to doing that kind of stuff; they are
- -> and older band now, and are constantly evolving, which is good for
- -> any band...but still, as good as Achtung Baby is, I'll take War over
- -> it any day.
-
- I do agree. After Joshua Tree, I feel they lose a certain edgy sound to
- their music. I guess that comes with commercialism. I mean, their
- older albums are raw, and I love it. Their newer stuff is just a
- different vibe.
