  14. the "tribal" modifier to the base noun "techno", referring to a kind
  15. of "techno music". This is comparable to the phrases "deep house", "ambient

  23. Er, I think that is the other way around. Tribal dance music, as I understand
  24. it, has its roots in african, native american indian, and other
  25. (historically) primitive cultures. (Excuse my non-PC-ness about describing
  26. this, but we (americo-centrics) know how thick the brits are - it's best
  27. to be blunt). House music has its roots in the poverty ravaged
  28. african-american culture of the post-civil-war industrialized midwest.
  29. Thus, I venture to guess that tribal dance music pre-dates the recent
  30. (historically speaking) invention of the "house music" genre. It is
  31. correct for Mr.Quigg to imply that the recent growth in popularity of
  32. tribal techno (Cringe, Mr Quigg, cringe!) is due to the audience it is
  33. popular with having been a part of the popularity of house music. Thus,
  34. the musical "roots" of tribal techno's audience can be said to be part of
  35. house music. Now would that be Detroit House, Chicago House, Acid House,
  36. Deep House, Garage House, or Hip House you are referring to Mr. Quigg?
