- That's the first line in my book, "The Society of Mind," as a
- quotation attributed to Einstein.
-
- The funny thing is that I have a corredpondence with the archivists of
- the Einstein collection (at Boston University). They can't find the
- source anywhere, and I can't remember where I got it. I'm sure I
- didn't make it up, but I certainly could have paraphrased it from
- something else. And I did hang around at the Institute for Advanced
- Studies in the early '50s when I was a grad student at Princeton.
-
- So, can anyone else remember seeing this somewhere?
