  13. The two Patton quotes I know of are:

  15. (1)  "I want you to get that man out of bed right away. Get him back
  16.       to the front.  I won't have these men who are really wounded
  17.       see that man babied so."

  19.       This, of course, is his famous 'chewing-out' of the injured soldier
  20.       (who had shell-shock supposedly), for which Patton was forced to 
  21.       make a public apology.

  23. (2)   "Dear Ike, today I spat in the Seine."

  25.       Supposed to have been the post-script to his formal military
  26.       report to Eisenhower after crossing the Seine.  Some variants
  27.       substitute 'pissed' for 'spat'.
