  10. I remember hearing an Irish toast some time ago. I don't remember much
  11. of it, but it had the following form:

  13.   May you have enough (e.g. good times) that (e.g. you will have enthusiasm)
  14.   May you have enough (e.g. bad times) that (e.g. you may be humble).
  15.  
  16. It had several verses that alternately wished both extremes on the listener
  17. but always to the listener's benefit.
  18.
