    HELP!! I need a quote that relates the virtues of experience
 over knowledge by reading it from a book.  There's a single word
 that also means "book-learned" I've never had a need to use it so
 it's lost from my memory, but as you can read, I'm in a Univ. where
 knowledge is based on years of schooling with little experience.

    I'm from an "operational" background and sometimes feel lost in this
 "egg-head" world, Ive also spent a good part of my career correcting
 mistakes made by highly educated idiots.  I have a bunch of quotes of
 my own, but some of these geeks don't believe you unless you've stolen
 the works of someone more popular, they call it "referencing" the quote.

    Please e-mail your selections, I have to work on this terminal and
 alt.quotations is just too addictive to skim over looking for a reply.

    p.s. To all you students out there, learn a skill, cabinet makers
 will earn better money in the future than the "dime-a-dozen" engineer.
