  12.   There were no windows he could reach, but his feet were
  13. beginning to feel tingly, like he was actively healing again.
  14. He jumped over to the door again and pressed up against it,
  15. trying to get some warmth.  It too was cold, so he backed off
  16. just a little, now trying to get as close to the door as possible
  17. without actually touching it.

  19.    He bumped it again and jerked away suddenly.  Keeping only two
  20. feet on the ground at a time was hard enough...

  22.    Suddenly the door opened, and Medor shot through the gap,
  23. just missing Arienne's feet.  He located the fireplace quickly
  24. and crawled into it.  He went through the same dance as outside,
  25. switching feet and trying to stay close to the fire without
  26. touching it.  The stone floor of the fireplace was considerably
  27. hotter than the road was cold, but Medor didn't have to worry
  28. about bumping into the fire as much as he did the door.

  30.    Besides, he was feeling better already.  Soon he would look
  31. for that friendly mage again...
