  17. You don't mention what newsreader you are using.  If its RN, then all
  18. you have to do is type (at the prompt in the reader) "g <newsgroup-name>"
  19. and it will ask you if you want to resubscribe....

  21. If it's another newsreader, try looking at the help pages.  I am sure
  22. they all offer this feature (unless you are on a BBS type system) and I
  23. am sure it is well documented in the help pages of the software.

  25. Of course, you can always pull out your favorite editor, and edit your
  26. .newsrc file (removing the delimiting character preceding the group) 
  27. since it should be in there since you were once subscribed to it.

  29. [be carfule when editing your .newsrc file, because if you mess it up
  30. bigtime, you will be forced by your newsreader to go through the entire
  31. long...(long long) list again.
