Let's not waste time!  That's right, let's both save time, effort, and
energy by being upfront and honest.  First, I am looking for replies
from men whom I could realistically meet (if we both choose).  That means
you need to be from southern Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, or eastern
Missouri.  Next, I am *not* going to tell you what I look like.
That's because I would rather judge you on the basis
of your intellect, conversational ability, wit, and personality than
on your physical characteristics alone, and the kind of person I am
looking for would have a similar attitude.
I will tell you that I am 35 and that I am interested in receiving
replies from men who are at least 30 years old.
Part of that is due to a longing for a
mature relationship that is based on the ability to share common
experiences, something that is harder for me to do with men who are much
younger than me.  I am looking for men who are willing to build
and create a relationship between equals; who really are looking for a
partner in life.  Although I believe that physical intimacy is a
natural part of relationships between partners, I am in no hurry to
develop such a relationship at the onset.  To do so is dangerous in
these times and I think that engaging in such behavior too early in
a relationship makes building a friendship confusing and complicated.
Instead, I wish to concentrate on those things that allow people to form
lasting bonds with each other - trust, communication, emotional sharing,
friendship.  I lead a principled life, which means that I have
very strong beliefs about the things I want out of life.  I expect you
to be just a strong-minded.  That does not, however, mean that we have
to have exactly the same views on everything; that would make a very
boring relationship.  Although I love to laugh, my conversations
are most often about serious things; I like to talk about life.
If you send me a generic response, or one that does not indicate that
you have given much thought to life, or that only tells me what you
look like or what activities you enjoy, etc, I probably will not answer
you.  I am much more interested in how well you can communicate something
about your mind and heart than about those things that are more
superficial.
