- Hmmm. Is it Toshiba America or the Toshiba in Japan that
- made the calendar? The reason I ask is that for some reason 'Anne of
- Green Gables' is enjoying rabid popularity in Japan since last year
- at least. It has gone so far that there are guides for how to spend
- your vacation in the setting where the book was, and there is an
- amusement park/garden place called 'Anne's world' or some such which
- is supposedly a reproduction of Anne's village (albeit surrounded by
- rice fields, heh heh). Crazes like this are peevesome in general.
