- Why, Logan! Really! Peeving about the weather unoriginal? Surely you
- jest! Why, I don't believe anyone's EVER peeved about the weather in the
- history of mankind - and certainly not on a.p.
-
- And as for peeving about people peeving about problems that aren't really
- problems in your book - well, again, no one's ever done it before -and
- it certainly is a legitimate peeve, especially since your own personal
- problems (like having to drive on icy roads) are so earth shattering and
- unique!!
-
- We at a.p. are all impressed with your ability to withstand these horrifying
- experiences and still have the strength of mind and character to write a witty,
- insightful post about them.

- ObPeeveThatImPrettySureImTheFirstOneOnThisGroupToPeeveAbout: Had lunch with
- my dad the day after Xmas. It was the first time I'd seen him in about 10
- months, and I only met with him because the split-up is leaving me dead
- broke and he's rolling in the stuff. He said he'd to anything to be supportive
- to me in these trying times.
-
- Hah!
-
- I ended up not staying for lunch because it only took about ten minutes for
- hime to tell me I was a selfish, manipulative piece of shit - this is not
- in any way unique. I'm sure parents say this to their kids all the time. I
- know it wasn't the first time I heard it from my dad.
-
- What was unique, was his next remark, which was that he wishes he'd had
- a vasectomy before I'd been born.
-
- Just out of curiosity, has anyone else on this group ever had someone tell
- them that having part of their ManTool(TM) removed would be small price to
- pay for their non-existence? Or am I correct in assuming that this is a
- fairly uncommon occurrance?
-
- Ob!Peeve1: (and believe me, I ain't joking about the Ob): One week till I
- get to California!! And see old friends, and new ones, none of whom have
- ever expressed such sentiments to me, and most of whom actaully seem to
- think the fact that I exist is a Good Thing.
-
- Ob!Peeve2: Getting highly appropriate Xmas gifts from friends. My soon-to-
- be-ex-husband gave me the one thing that will assure that I will function
- just as well without him - one of those gripper jar opener thingies. And
- our own Mikey sent me gourmet coffee & a small bottle of Irish Cream, bless
- his soul.
-
- Ob!Peeve3: I FINALLY GOT A ROOMATE!!! He's really cool, plays keyboards
- & synthesizers, highly influenced by Bach & Einsturzende Neubauten, is of
- Moslem/Soutern Baptist stock & has rejected religion in a most intriguing
- way, and best of all brews his own beer!
-
- >Gosh, it certainly is fun to complain, and to be negative.

-
- No - I think I'll leave this one to Banta, I'm sure he'll do a better job
- with it than I could.....
