  14.     Of course we all know that it is spelled Whiskey and not
  15. Whisky for the Irish blends.. ;-)

  18. EVERYBODY'S IRISH
  19. 2 oz Irish Whiskey        1 oz green Chartreuse
  20. 1 oz green Creme de Menthe
  21.  
  22.     In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of
  23. the ingredients. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass.
  24.  
  25. And that is all the specific Irish Whiskey drinks I could find.
  26. I'm going to include more blended whiskey drinks which I'm sure you
  27. could use Irish whiskey for a substitute. I've never tried that
  28. personally.

  31. ALGONQUIN
  32. 1 1/2 oz blended whiskey    1/2 oz dry vermouth
  33. 1 oz pineapple juice
  34.  
  35. In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the
  36. ingredients. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.

  38. BABY'S BOTTOM

  40. 1 1/2 oz blended whiskey    1/2 oz white creme de cacao
  41. 1/2 oz white creme de menthe
  42.  
  43. In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the
  44. ingredients. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass.

  46. BAY HORSE

  48. 1 1/2 oz blended whiskey    1 oz heavy cream
  49. 1/2 oz Pernod            1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  50. 1/2 oz dark creme de cacao

  52. In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the whiskey, Pernod,
  53. creme de cacao, and cream. Shake well. Strain into an old-fashioned
  54. glass almost filled with ice cubes. Garnish with the nutmeg.

  56. BOILERMAKER

  58. 1 oz blended whiskey    12 oz beer
  59.  
  60. Pour the whiskey into a shot glass. Pour the beer into a beer mug.
  61. Drink the whiskey in one go. Sip the beer. Drink a Boilermaker only if
  62. you are sober before you start and tough enough to drink whiskey in
  63. one go.
  64.     A variation is that you drop the filled shot glass directly
  65. into the filled beer mug and drink the entire contents in one go.

  67. MANHATTAN

  69. 2 oz blended whiskey        3 dashes Angostura bitters
  70. 3/4 oz sweet vermouth        1 cherry
  71.  
  72. In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes (doesn't this sound
  73. familiar?), combine the whiskey, vermouth, and the bitters. Stir well.
  74. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with the cherry.
  75. I'm sure a few people are gonna wonder what the heck a bitter is.
  76. Basically all they are is an herb. Its just something to add a little
  77. different taste.
