  21. Javier, I'm not slamming you fro your spelling of "comfortable"; it's
  22. just that your spelling seems to have laid clear for me something I've
  23. always wondered about -- where the hell the word came from.  If the /n/
  24. has indeed migrated forward in preparation for the /f/ (as happens
  25. frequently in languages) it means "to become strong with."  What a great
  26. etymology!
