- Javier, I'm not slamming you fro your spelling of "comfortable"; it's
- just that your spelling seems to have laid clear for me something I've
- always wondered about -- where the hell the word came from. If the /n/
- has indeed migrated forward in preparation for the /f/ (as happens
- frequently in languages) it means "to become strong with." What a great
- etymology!
