  11. As the terms are used in anthropology, they mean the following;
  12. hopefully, I do not have them switched.

  14. animism: the belief that eveything in the universe has a spirit
  15. associated with it -- that each rock and piece of dirt has a "soul" of
  16. some sort.

  18. animatism: that there exists a central motivating, moving force for
  19. everything in the universe, that need not be personalized or sentient.
