- I happened to catch a good movie the other day and just wanted to
- share a funny line with some people I thought would appreciate it.
-
- The movie was `The Last of his Tribe' ( I think.. not sure of the title )
- which was about a native american who was `discovered' in the wilderness
- and found to be the last member of a tribe which had been thought to
- be extinct. He was whipped off to San Francisco to be `studied' by the
- anthropologists. As he became accustomed to his environment, he was
- invited to observe an appendectomy in the operating room. He later asked
- the professor " If you were cut open when you were sleeping, wouldn't
- you wake up?" The professor responds to explain anethesia by saying
- "It's a different kind of sleep". Ishi, the native says, " How many
- kinds of sleep do white men have ? "
-
- Sorry if anyone finds this offensive.. I thought it was funny.
- Sad movie overall, but well done. I recommend it.
-
- Blessings
