- Sorry for the rather inane Subject heading, but I couldn't think of anything
- more descriptive. The FAQ was great -- thanks, Kumar! It answered a few
- questions I was going to ask tonight (as FAQ's should ;-) ).
-
- As for my own experience, I can achieve Type A paralysis readily, and I've
- been doing so prior to falling asleep for the past couple of days as an
- ongoing experiment. I did a lot of OOBE experimentation back in high
- school (it was called Astral Projection back then) but never got "out." The
- closest I've come was one really scary -- at the time -- incident of
- strong "vibration"; this was during a high fever and wasn't intentional.
-
- A question: Has anyone ever encountered any other entities while OOB? Spe-
- cifically, ones that are neutral or hostile or "animal"? I'm beginning to
- wonder if (to maintain completeness of the belief system) it might not be
- a good idea to do some sort of "warding" or "shielding" prior to each
- attempt -- the idea of leaving my body unattended concerns me, and I think
- this worry is hampering my efforts.

- The company I work for is so low-tech it doesn't *have* an opinion, let
- alone net access.....
