  20. For the record, the comment is by no means aimed at Mary; her
  21. earlier posting was merely the take-off point for some musings about
  22. the destructive influence of television on Indian culture. That's
  23. something I'm sure many of us have observed first hand on the
  24. reservation.

  26. "Get a life" would be an apt reproof for anyone wasting their mind
  27. and life in front of the television screen; that is, their own
  28. life rather than someone else's ersatz mythology.

  30. I leave it to others to comment on the particular program Mary
  31. mentioned. We here have taken this position seriously, and do not
  32. have television. I don't think we are by any means deprived by
  33. this lack, however.
