  18. As a more cheery note, particularly for this time of year, MOST of the
  19. native community really liked "Windwalker" when it was out a few years ago.
  20. It didn't do that well at the "box office" but we all enjoyed it.  While I'm
  21. sure it was highly romanticised, the natives were everything but "in the back
  22. ground" and it made the young kids feel good.  Most of them were not even
  23. aware that the old man wasn't really an Indian, and it gave them pride and
  24. a warm feeling inside ... which for our kids, I believe is important.

  26. Sometimes "purity" (such as Incident at Oglala), while very educational,
  27. does NOT impart any cultural warm or pride.
