- As a more cheery note, particularly for this time of year, MOST of the
- native community really liked "Windwalker" when it was out a few years ago.
- It didn't do that well at the "box office" but we all enjoyed it. While I'm
- sure it was highly romanticised, the natives were everything but "in the back
- ground" and it made the young kids feel good. Most of them were not even
- aware that the old man wasn't really an Indian, and it gave them pride and
- a warm feeling inside ... which for our kids, I believe is important.
-
- Sometimes "purity" (such as Incident at Oglala), while very educational,
- does NOT impart any cultural warm or pride.

- Hope that you all have a WARM holiday with loved ones and are able to help
