- A message from Marv Cotton on 12-23-92 to Bob Houseman included this:
-
- MC> Subject: Proposal for reorganizati
-
- [A somewhat "Italianesque" quality to that...(B-D).]
-
- MC> Bob, this echo is gated into internet and at times some off topic
- MC> messages get in to the echo.
-
- So noted, Marv. Surely no illumination in my observing, however, that that has
- the effect of diminishing the impact/effectiveness of the MC echo -- it being
- impossible to prevent newcomers (to telecommunicating, if not the MC echo) from
- perceiving the e
- cho as perhaps well-intentioned but not all that serious.
-
- You might want to consider a MC-specific message "flag" that'd enable serious
- participants to capture only those messages germain to the topic of missing
- children. Of course I may be guilty of having failed to thoroughly examine the
- matter, of having mi
- ssed a "flag" already present. Be assured, if there is such a "flag," I'll
- make the appropriate alteration(s) of my program to make use of it.
-
- Regards,
- Bob
-
- P.S. Ala the topic of suggestions: consider the means whereby an abducted
- child could ("unsupervised") access a "child-simple" program, run at (1)
- schools, (2) mall video arcades, (3) computer retailers, etc., to (1) seek a
- "message from home" and/or (
- 2) provide "who I am" and "where I am" info...
