- shul president speaking for him or herself, and that it
- was not on record, and that you got this second-hand.

- I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume
- that you weren't lying, but had merely forgotten that the
- source was not on record, and are sorry for having made this error.

- Since I'm not ready to believe that the president of a Conservative
- shul would make such a foolish statement, I'd also like to give him or
- her the benefit of the doubt and call this person to get confirmation
- or denial of having said that. Please e-mail me his name and number.
