Here you go again. There is no debate between "Rabbinics and Christians"
on this issue. There is only a debate between literalists and everyone
else. Literalists cannot abide the fact that Biblical text is occasionally
unclear, cannot be indisputably interpreted, and has often been
miscommunicated and misinterpreted throughout history, both ancient
and modern. If the debate is between anyone and "Christians" why do
so many Christian translations and commentaries accept "young woman"
as the correct text and either reject or question "virgin?"
