- Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
- The word of Sin is Restriction.

-
- ...All forms of reality
- are integrated in our magickal context. What you may personally
- believe, (which appears to be that there exists another 'reality inside
- the program') however, is irrevelant, except within the
- discussion...it does not bear on the usefulness of the thread.
- Especially so, since you have at least a couple of people who
- disagree.
-
-
- Response:
-
- Agreed. I'm taking quite a lot of heat from dogmatists regarding my ideas,
- so I wasn't about to go posting the reply you did above. I'm trying to
- spend time with those who understand the relevance of the ideas. It is nice
- to see others come in and describe base-level theory connections. Thanks.

- Scooch:
-
- Crowley's third book? One might expect you to mean the fourth part
- of 'Book Four'. To my knowledge, it never made it beyond
- the notes/partial draft stage. Even these don't exist in the
- (admittedly incomplete) OTO docs catalog I have. Tagi? Maybe
- you can poke your OTO persons, and see if you can dig up these notes.
-
-
- Response:
-
- Ok, I broke down and looked in my library here. This is what I found:
-
- Entries from _A Crowley Cross-Index: A Comprehensive Survey_,
- by W. Parfitt and A. Drylie, 1976, self-published.
-
- "BOOK FOUR part 1. Elementary Yoga instruction
- BOOK FOUR part 2. Elementary Magick instruction
- BOOK FOUR part 3. See [MAGICK IN THEORY AND PRACTICE].
- BOOK FOUR part 4. A prolonged commentary on Liber AL, never published
- as such. But see [COMMENTS].
-
- ...
-
- "COMMENTS (to Liber Al)
- a) The short comment of Ankh-af-na-Khonsu. [Grant/Symonds, Motta].
- b) The Comment (called the Old Comment when superceded) [Grant/S, Regardie]
- c) The New Comment [Grant/S., Regardie]
- d) The Equinox of the Gods [below]
- e) The Djeridensis Working. (not completed) [Grant/Symonds]
-
-
- The Grant/Symonds book is:
-
- "_Magical and Philosophical Commentaries on The Book of the Law_,
- 93 Publishing, Montreal. 1974.... Introduction by Kenneth Grant.
- Notes by Symonds and Grant."
-
-
- The Motta book is:
-
- "_The Commentaries of Al_, by Crowley and Marcelo Ramos Motta,
- Weiser, New York. 1975.... (30% deletions)...+ other material by Motta."
-
-
- The Regardie book is of course:
-
- "_The Law is For All_, Llewellyn, St. Paul. 1975.... Introduction
- and editing by Regardie...."
-
-
- The Equinox of the Gods I have is:
-
- _The Equinox of the Gods (Vol. III, No. III)_, by Aleister Crowley,
- New Falcon Publications, 1991, Intro. by Hymenaeus Beta.
-
-
- I suggest that Crowley never completed an _extensive evaluation of
- Liber Al_ to which he considered worthy of applying the name 'Part IV'
- and there may be some controversy about this.
-
- I DO know that a new publication called _Book Four_ is now being published
- with Part IV listed as _The Book of the Law_, but as far as I can tell
- this is not what Crowley intended it to be (i.e. he apparently wished
- to have had a completed commentary to his satisfaction, and perhaps
- to some criteria of which I am unware). I'll ask around for
- additional information but this ought to do for the non.
