- This is something I've been wondering about for a long time. It may be a
- feature, but to me it is an annoyance.
-
- There are times when my client seems to want to pause after a page of text.
- When I hit return to continue, I get a literal ^M character, as if I had
- typed a ^Q in.
-
- Is there any way to disable this flow control problem? It's more a nuisance
- than a help. It's almost as if the terminal server or Ultrix (OS) is sending
- ^S/^Q pairs for flow control, but IRC isn't processing them as XON/XOFF
- command characters, but rather letting at least the ^Q into the command input
- stream.
-
- Thanks in advance...
