  15. This is something I've been wondering about for a long time.  It may be a
  16. feature, but to me it is an annoyance.

  18. There are times when my client seems to want to pause after a page of text.
  19. When I hit return to continue, I get a literal ^M character, as if I had
  20. typed a ^Q in.

  22. Is there any way to disable this flow control problem?  It's more a nuisance
  23. than a help.  It's almost as if the terminal server or Ultrix (OS) is sending
  24. ^S/^Q pairs for flow control, but IRC isn't processing them as XON/XOFF
  25. command characters, but rather letting at least the ^Q into the command input
  26. stream.
