  12. I'm new to this news group.  In fact I'm new to the internet.
  13. If I can ever figure out how to use this thing, I'd like to
  14. communicate with people interested in hypnosis.

  16. I was trained at Northeastern University 1972-1977, and later 
  17. did the AAEH training in forensic hypnosis.  My professional
  18. objective at the time was to elicit better information from
  19. crime witnesses and victims.  I was VERY successful.  The AAEH 
  20. training was given by Harry Aarons and Howard Frankel. Howard was an
  21. assistant chief of the NYPD and consulted for the government of Israel.
  22. I think that anyone who knows hypnosis knows Harry Aarons.

  24. I haven't been involved with law enforcement since I left the
  25. military, so don't be turned off by that-- I'm not a cop.  Not
  26. that there's anything wrong with policemen (usually).

  28. My current interest is in motivational hypnosis.  By that I mean
  29. the use of hypnosis to stimulate and/or enhance learning or to
  30. empower people in other ways.   A friend of mine (who has about
  31. maxed out on being an elementary school principal) and I are toying
  32. with starting a business planning and managing the education of
  33. No. Virginia's rich kids from elem level through admission to
  34. the university of their choice.  Hypnosis and self hypnosis
  35. is a tool we'd like to develop and use.

  38. from Washington, DC) is interested, please respond by e-mail or
  39. net reply.  Incidentally, I don't practice medicine or
  40. psychiatry.  I will undertake instruction in hypnosis and self
  41. hypnosis to enhance short term retention, build better study
  42. habits and other similar experimentation.  This is a "not for
  43. profit" venture.  I get to experiment and develop technique--
  44. you learn hypnosis and self hypnosis (and get to experiment and
  45. develop technique).
