- Has anyone any practical experience using water injection to
- eliminate detonation in high compression engines running on
- unleaded pump gasoline? Is it effective enough to allow the use
- of 12.0:1 compression on 93 octane?
-
- The engine I am planning is an all-iron chevy 476 (4.350 x 4.000)
- with a 9.3:1 ratio. Should be plenty of power for my 68 Camaro.
- But there is nothing like a thumping, high compression Rat engine
- (unless it spends most of its time eating pistons). Advice?
-

- Eric Webb
