  17. Various people have posted interesting explanations of "Jacob's Ladder".
  18. Several of the more recent ones have confused two of the characters.
  19. There is a mysterious stranger, who tells our hero that he was an
  20. participant in a secret mind control, drug experiment.  Then there is
  21. the more important character, Louie, played by Danny Aeillo (sp?), who
  22. our hero thinks of as his chiropractor.  Recent posters have referred
  23. to the mysterious stranger as Louie.

  25. The chiropractor is the more important character, he gives our hero
  26. important spiritual advice, displays super-human powers when he rescues
  27. our hero from the VA hospital.  I believe that "Louie" is actually
  28. supposed to be "Lucifer".

  30. I watch for name clues like this nowadays.  I saw "Angel Heart" with
  31. a friend of mine

  33. who said it was obvious to her that Robert Deniro was the devil from
  34. the first scene, when he is introduced as Mr. Louie Cypher.  I felt
  35. dim that I had been led astray by the cipher bit, and decided to
  36. always watch for clues like this in the future.
