  14. : viewer this program is not exactly "super fast".  I clock it at about half
  15. : the speed of DVPEG, which itself is much slower than 386-specific programs
  16. : like Hiview.  And IMGFUN's picture quality is decidedly worse --- looks like
  17. : it uses a fixed colormap instead of a two-pass quantizer.

  19. I don't know what's wrong.  I've Hiview running fine to view some JPG files
  20. on a 386 with a ET4000 video card, but ImgFun is no go.  It works okay for
  21. GIF files though.  Wonder why?  *blink*
