  21. Before anyone gets too excited, it may be worth pointing out that as a JPEG
  22. viewer this program is not exactly "super fast".  I clock it at about half
  23. the speed of DVPEG, which itself is much slower than 386-specific programs
  24. like Hiview.  And IMGFUN's picture quality is decidedly worse --- looks like
  25. it uses a fixed colormap instead of a two-pass quantizer.

  27. Possibly the other functions of the program may be of some use.
