  10. I have written what turns out to be a pretty good implementation
  11. of a gopher client.  This was done more as a consequence than a
  12. goal, but has turned out well none the less.
  13.  
  14. What I am interested in knowing now is if it has any shortcomings,
  15. and whether it should be distributed as a Gopher client.
  16.  
  17. The software is called Lynx and was developed for use as CWIS software.
  18.  
  19. Lynx currently supports:
  20.     0 standard Gopher ascii files
  21.     1 gopher directory types
  22.     2 gopher CSO type
  23.     4 Mac binhex types
  24.     5 PC binary types
  25.     7 Index type
  26.     8 telnet type
  27.     9 UNIX binary type
  28.     g gif type
  29.     I image type
  30.  
  31. Complete compatability with WWW is in the making.

  34. Look in the 'Internet Toolbox' for the gopher resources.
