- I have written what turns out to be a pretty good implementation
- of a gopher client. This was done more as a consequence than a
- goal, but has turned out well none the less.
-
- What I am interested in knowing now is if it has any shortcomings,
- and whether it should be distributed as a Gopher client.
-
- The software is called Lynx and was developed for use as CWIS software.
-
- Lynx currently supports:
- 0 standard Gopher ascii files
- 1 gopher directory types
- 2 gopher CSO type
- 4 Mac binhex types
- 5 PC binary types
- 7 Index type
- 8 telnet type
- 9 UNIX binary type
- g gif type
- I image type
-
- Complete compatability with WWW is in the making.
-
- Anonymous access to a client is at "KUfacts.cc.ukans.edu"
- Look in the 'Internet Toolbox' for the gopher resources.
-
- Anonymous ftp at KUHUB.CC.UKANS.EDU as lynx.tar-z
