- Oh well, just figured I would throw my $.02 in...
-
- I don't understand why people call certain things cheap. It isn't like it's
- even POSSIBLE for anyone to go outside the bounds of the designers of the game.
- I mean if you can perform a move or sequence of moves, then that is part of
- the game. All too often people tend to treat ticking as a sort of secret
- chemical weapon or something. They tell everyone that using it is wrong,
- but if their opponent uses it, then they are perfectly free to use it right
- back. Bah...it's all in the game and anyone can use it whenever they want.
- If your opponent can't counter ticks very well, and you exploit that to win..
- congratulations... Who cares if he could beat you otherwise...he never
- bothered to practice the counter-ticking aspect of his game and has paid the
- price. Perhaps in the future he will be wiser.
-
- Cheap moves are what keeps the game interesting. Often, when someone
- comes up with a slick new sequence and wins because of it, people label it
- as cheap (and I don't only mean throws...how often was the Ken touch of death
- labeled cheap!) In reality it is just something which you had never
- encountered before, or if you have, something you havn't adjusted your play
- to account for yet. These "cheap" moves are what force you to adjust and
- relearn your strategies and should be looked upon as an opportunity to
- get better. If you think something is cheap, then go ahead and try it...
- more often than not I think you will find that properly performing these
- "cheap" moves require just as much skill as any other aspect of the game.
- I know that many will argue with me about that, saying that Bison's
- cheesepedo takes no skill, but try to win a match by simply torpedoing
- back and forth... against any sane player, this simply can't be done
- unless you set it up right and execute it correctly which is in no way simple.
-
- Oh well, that's enough for now....later all
