  21. I apologize for posting this here instead of alt.games.sfii, but I don't
  22. have access to that newsgroup. So it ends up here...

  24. Also, I should state that this is only a RUMOR.  It's according to a friend
  25. of mine who says he met one of the people involved in producing the game.
  26. However, he does have some credibility (in my eyes, at least), since he 
  27. informed me of the new SFIICE 'Turbo' version about 3-4 months before it was 
  28. released, and he correctly stated that its features would include the speed 
  29. increase, and that Chun li would have a fireball).  Actually, the above and the below were both told to me at the same time, so the following information is 
  30. actually a few months old.

  32. Anyway, according to my friend, there will be <sigh> yet ANOTHER new version 
  33. of SFII coming out. This one will offer major improvements over the previous 
  34. versions.  He said that this one is being tentitively referred to as the 'Q' 
  35. version.  Here are the specifics:

  37. *  The speed will be increased another 10% (possibly more).
  38.  
  39. *  Four new characters will be introduced that have not been in any previous
  40.    versions.  Specifically, two of these will be women (he said they look
  41.    better than Chun li, btw).
  42.  
  43. *  Though he didn't say so, I would assume that the presence of new
  44.    characters implies some new background scenes, and perhaps another bonus
  45.    round.

  47. *  There will be new moves for all the other characters. (but this goes
  48.    without saying, right? :) )

  50. He also said that he had seen the preliminary character designs for the new 
  51. characters, and had talked to the designer (programmer?, I don't remember) 
  52. to get the above info.  There may have been more, but it's been 3-4 months 
  53. since he told me all of this, so I could have missed a thing or two.
