  15. This isn't a dead cat story.  I used to live in miserable little town
  16. in Ohio where they'd turned the local public golf course into a
  17. shopping mall.  This happened.  I was there.  I owned the
  18. garbage.  I watched it happen.  No kidding.

  20. Sometimes there IS justice.

  22. We were having a garbage strike in the summer.  It was sorta
  23. intense.

  25. We used to drive an old '66 Pontiac Catalina that could pass anything
  26. but a gas station.  It had a broken back door lock, you couldn't
  27. lock the passengers side back door.

  29. I wanted to get rid of some particularly wretched garbage.  I had
  30. a thought, "They've been having package thefts from the Mall"... Hmmm....

  32. To make a long story short, I put it in some wrapping paper (yeah
  33. it was summer, so what?) and left it on the back seat.  Somebody
  34. stole it.  I watched them do it, as did a security person from the mall.
  35. They went across the mall parking lot and opened it.  Then they
  36. came to put it back!  They were arrested at that point for
  37. theft.  The cops took the garbage.

  39. Once in a while there IS some justice.
