- This isn't a dead cat story. I used to live in miserable little town
- in Ohio where they'd turned the local public golf course into a
- shopping mall. This happened. I was there. I owned the
- garbage. I watched it happen. No kidding.

- Sometimes there IS justice.
-
- We were having a garbage strike in the summer. It was sorta
- intense.
-
- We used to drive an old '66 Pontiac Catalina that could pass anything
- but a gas station. It had a broken back door lock, you couldn't
- lock the passengers side back door.
-
- I wanted to get rid of some particularly wretched garbage. I had
- a thought, "They've been having package thefts from the Mall"... Hmmm....
-
- To make a long story short, I put it in some wrapping paper (yeah
- it was summer, so what?) and left it on the back seat. Somebody
- stole it. I watched them do it, as did a security person from the mall.
- They went across the mall parking lot and opened it. Then they
- came to put it back! They were arrested at that point for
- theft. The cops took the garbage.
