  18. Excuse me for taking up some valuable space in this group by asking 
  19. something not exactly related to mr J.R.R himself.

  21. This is the case:

  23. I'm a member of a guild within the Swedish Tolkien Society (Forodrim),
  24. and as a memeber thereof (new member) I will have to pick an alias to 
  25. go with my character. This alias will then be used during special 
  26. meetings and live roleplaying and so on. That is why I want to pick an
  27. alias that is as "correct" as possible, i.e. an alias with meaning and
  28. spelled out in Elven tounge.
  29.  
  30. The name I had in mind was "Dark-fire", a kind of paradox in itself but
  31. a name to go with both Tolkien's world and other mythology where a fire
  32. always turns blue and dark when a warlock goes by. Any free translation 
  33. into (Quenya..?), like -The fire that goes dark- or -Fire goes dark by 
  34. magic- et.c. will do. (But preferrably as grim as possible. He He.. 8> )

  36. Assignment: * Translate "Dark-fire" into Tengwar writing. (Quenya..?!)
  37.               (And include the equivalent in Human tounge as well,
  38.                "Mor-xxxx" or whatever it turns out to be. :>      )

  40.             * Alternativly, if somebody knows how, a translation into 
  41.               the dark tounge of Mordor.

  45. PS! I read some time ago about someone that claimed to have compiled a
  46.     list of some thousand words in Elven tounge, ring any bell?.
  47.     That list and other works as Grammatics or whatever you have spilled
  48.     your sweat into compiling, I would be VERY greatful to at least hear 
  49.     about!
