- If you take what Sandy says here literally, Gandalf couldn't actually
- create life with the flame of Anor (or the secret fire), but rather he
- could give life and substance to any of Iluvatar's creations. From
- what Michael says, I can't see how they can be the same. Anyway, it
- seems to me if Gandalf really was wielding this kind of power, he could
- have blown the balrog right into the outter void with his old buddy
- Morgorth.
