- In Appendix A, at the end of the section on "The House of Eorl", we
- read that King Elessar still had considerable work cleaning up the
- "hatreds and evils" left by Sauron, and that Eomer, in fulfillment of
- the Oath of Eorl, went with him on these battles. So presumably, any
- militarily-minded Rohirrim would have had opportunity to follow his (or
- *her*) desires. Do with this fact what you will ;-)
