  22. and conservatism:

  26. 2.    Liberals would have governmental legislation telling us what to do.

  28.         NOT to do
  29. 3.    Liberals believe government can force people to be equal
  30.     Conservatives believe that people should have equal opportunity
  31.         to succeed
  32. 4.    Liberal agenda seeks short term solutions to current problems
  33.     Conservative agenda seeks long term solutions to current problems
  34. 5.    Liberals believe that global solutions by the central government
  35.         work equally well for Californians as for Arkansans
  36.     Conservatives believe in that California and Arkansas have their
  37.         own unique problems that are better solved on the local level.
  38. 6.    Liberals believe that the government knows how to spend the money
  39.         we earn better than we do.
  40.     Conservatives believe in exactly the opposite.
  41. 7.    Liberals believe that the government should drive the social agenda
  42.         of the nation
  43.     Conservatives believe that people in smaller groups should drive
  44.         their own social agenda
  45. 8.    Liberals believe that the quality of life is determined by share of
  46.         the nation's GNP
  47.     Conservatives believe that quality of life is improved by increasing
  48.         the nation's GNP
  49. 9.    Liberals believe that because of obstacles, people can not succeed.
  50.     Conservatives believe that in spite of obstacles, people succeed.
  51. 10.    Liberals believe that the free market fails because the rich get
  52.         richer.
  53.     Conservatives believe that the free market succeeds because those
  54.         everyone gets richer in the long run.
  55. 11.    Liberals use "emotional appeal" arguments to further their agenda.
  56.     Conservatives use logic and common sense to further their agenda.

  58. When a liberal realizes #6 above is true, he becomes a conservative :)
