  44. LIMBAUGH WATCH

  46. December 23, 1992 - It's now 51 days after Bill Clinton's
  47. election and Rush is still on the air with 546 radio affiliates
  48. and 207 TV affiliates, and his book has been on the NY Times
  49. hardback non-fiction best-seller list for 14 consecutive weeks
  50. and is currently one on the list.

  52. MORNING UPDATE

  57. Today's update is part two of the "sweet justice, sweet, sweet
  58. justice" story that Rush started on a previous Update. In that
  59. Update, Rush related how Earth First, the anti-logging, tree-
  60. spiking group, finally got a taste of their own medicine when
  61. they wanted to hold a "Round River Rendezvous" on national forest
  62. land near Durango, CO. The Stone Forest Industry logging company,
  63. though, filed a protest against the meeting, claiming that an
  64. environmental impact study would be needed before the group could
  65. have its campout.

  67. Earth First went ahead and held their rally, but they have been
  68. fined $8,505, which was the cost of extinguishing a 6-acre forest
  69. fire which started by their camp fires. Thus, Earth First, the
  70. group which claims that it honors the Earth above all, has
  71. destroyed hundreds of thousands of plants and animals, not to
  72. mention the billions of potential trees whose seeds were
  73. destroyed. This is "life destroyed, life wasted, life never to be
  74. realized."

  76. "Earth First?" Rush asks. "Not with this bunch," he answers.
  77. Earth First and its tree-hugging members are not a responsible
  78. group, but another example of extremist wackos on the loose, "and
  79. don't you forget it!"
