  21. Based on what do you say this?   Oil prices climbed to $40/barrel after
  22. the invasion in Aug. 90, but by December 90, they were back down to
  23. $20/barrel.  Gasoline costs more today than it did before the
  24. war.  (Look at the pump .... $1.49 for super unleaded)  You can't prove
  25. that the war had anything to do with gas prices.   The other oil 
  26. countries jacked up production to make up for the lack of Iraqi
  27. oil and still do, as sanctions are still in place against Iraq.
