- Based on what do you say this? Oil prices climbed to $40/barrel after
- the invasion in Aug. 90, but by December 90, they were back down to
- $20/barrel. Gasoline costs more today than it did before the
- war. (Look at the pump .... $1.49 for super unleaded) You can't prove
- that the war had anything to do with gas prices. The other oil
- countries jacked up production to make up for the lack of Iraqi
- oil and still do, as sanctions are still in place against Iraq.
