  13. I have the thing on tape and will try to do some type of a
  14. summary. Sorry, no trascript though. It is the BUSY season.

  16. Couple of thoughts. The crowd seemed to be split on sometimes
  17. liking what Rush had to say and sometimes liking what Phil had 
  18. to say. This was the second time I have seen these two go after
  19. each other in the last several days. The first time was on CNBC
  20. on the Phil show there.

  22. An example from yesterday..
  23. Phil tried to get Rush on several options and then asked if Rush
  24. supported a law that would make abortion illegal. Rush said Yes and
  25. then Phil started this thing about the need that Rush would inpose
  26. to have a nazi-type police force to enforce the law. Rush said that
  27. this would not be the case as there would be no difference between
  28. a law against abortion as a law against murder.
  29. Phil got very emotional and was yelling about this enforcement thing.
  30. Rush turned it on him by saying that every time that this abortion
  31. thing comes up, the abortion advocates get emotional and start screaming
  32. about things that would never happen and things that the pro-life
  33. folks are not even suggesting.

  35. I thought it was a very good 'backhand' to Phil.

  37. I'll watch the last few minutes tonight and see what else I can get
  38. out of it.

  40. One funny thing, Phil started talking about how evil the 80's were
  41. and how only the rich got richer and how bad that was. Rush brought
  42. up the fact that the 80's had been very good to Phil Donahue and since
  43. the 80's were this evil thing, that Phil should give back all the money
  44. that he had made. Phil became rich on during the 1980's and was lambasting
  45. the very decade that made him this way.
