  20.     I'm not gay but have a number of gay friends who <sort of> feel
  21. this way. They're perfectly great people in every way. Some are conservative,
  22. some are liberal. Most have strong religious views. A couple come from 
  23. straight marriages that didn't work out <that's another post>. But none of 
  24. these folks support the loudest or most radical groups. 
  25.     However, like anyone who has an alternate or unusual lifestyle, they
  26. often fear making their opposing views known. They fear being lumped in with
  27. those whom they don't support, just because they're gay.
  28.     It's like being conservative: the minute you make it known, people
  29. think you're aligned with David Duke or some radical religious fanatics.
