  25. Yup, that's DAVE all right, but... i've never really thought of right-wing
  26. conservatives as generally being comedyphiles.  Just look at how the Bush
  27. administration reacted to comedy like Murphy Brown and Howard Stern, etc.
  28. Perhaps "insane" might be a better description than "funny and wacky". :-)

  30. As for Dave fans liking this other guy, I suppose "some" is a good word.
  31. I doubt very much it is a significant number though.  Dave is probably
  32. just too "far out" for most right-wing fundies.  Also, the typical VERY
  33. enthusiastic reaction among the studio audience to Dave's many (great)
  34. bush/quayle jokes tend to reinforce that idea.
