- Hmmm... I always thought the intent was to spout right-wing conservative
- fundamentalist dogma, and to attack/ridicule anyone who opposed it? :->

- Yup, that's DAVE all right, but... i've never really thought of right-wing
- conservatives as generally being comedyphiles. Just look at how the Bush
- administration reacted to comedy like Murphy Brown and Howard Stern, etc.
- Perhaps "insane" might be a better description than "funny and wacky". :-)
-
- As for Dave fans liking this other guy, I suppose "some" is a good word.
- I doubt very much it is a significant number though. Dave is probably
- just too "far out" for most right-wing fundies. Also, the typical VERY
- enthusiastic reaction among the studio audience to Dave's many (great)
- bush/quayle jokes tend to reinforce that idea.
-
- "Dave... DAVE!!" <chanting>

- (WHY can't the ever-leggy Elle Macpherson co-host EVERY night!! :)
