- Of course no one is expected to take the James Bond books or movies
- seriously, but there is an expectation of realism in the way things
- work in the world.
-
- Take for instance in "Licence To Kill," when Sanchez swings a mach-
- ete at Bond while they're fighting beside a truck. Sanchez misses
- Bond and cuts the brake line, causing the brakes to fail and the
- truck to roll down the mountainside out of control.
-
- Well, when a brake line is cut in an air braking system, the brakes
- lock, they don't release. The truck should have been going nowhere
- after the line was cut.
-
- Aside from this blunder in "Licence to Kill," can anyone else come
- up with other scenes in either the books or movies where things
- were outright impossible?
